APRS Digipeaters
The latest VK6 APRS standard for Digipeaters is the Argent Data Tracker2 (OT2m).
Many have been installed throughout VK6 and have proven to be an exceptional unit.
Very versatile and script configurable.
An OT2m along with a FDC FD-160A 2m handheld, has been installed up on Mount Scott.
This is the second package of its type to be deployed in VK6. Both built locally.
To date, VK6XLR-1 is performing very well.
VK6ROO Repeater Refurbishment
We have acquired a new commercial VHF repeater to replace the old Philips FM 814 unit. Once the custom controller has been integrated, the repeater will be installed in it’s new home.
APRS 502Gate Network
We are currently constructing D-LINK DSL-502T/APRSD based IGates which are being deployed throughout VK6.
